| Camp Wheeler was a World War I and II military training range. The site encompassed approximately 14,000 acres of Bibb and Twiggs Counties, Georgia. | ||||||||||
| The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is working to respond to ordnance contamination at Camp Wheeler remaining in the area from former training activities. The Camp Wheeler project is a part of the Defense Environmental Restoration Program for Formerly Used Defense Sites (DERP-FUDS). | ||||||||||
